We cooked, we ate, we digested. Now, our bodies are beckoning us to hit the sweat and reset button. Enter our three go-to classes: Sweat Therapy, TRX Transformation and Reformer A.B.A + C. And of course - the epitome of a good sweat - our infrared sauna. 1. Sweat Therapy Sweat is quite literally the name of the game here. A fiery blend of cardio and high intensity interval training, this signature class of ours consistently delivers a rush of endorphins and a post-workout glow. Sweat Therapy includes a transformative, musically-driven series of cardio and strength-based movement with a finale that includes a full-body stretch, a chilled lavender towel and an intentional rest: savasana. You’ll use dumbbells and props like bands, sliding discs and BOSU balls to get your heart pumping while you burn calories and beam sweat. 2. TRX Transformation The TRX suspension training system is a cross-functional training tool, adaptable to all fitness levels. Set fire to your core muscles as you use your own body weight to navigate various exercises, all while improving your body’s alignment and form. While the TRX system is an effective form of resistance training by itself, we also incorporate kettlebells, BOSU balance trainers and other free weight equipment to add a layer of challenge. Move at your own pace as you build strength and endurance overtime. Short on time? Our TRX Transformation Express class is a quick 40 minutes! 3. Reformer A.B.A + C Reformer A.B.A + C, otherwise known as our Pilates jumpboard class, maintains the low-impact integrity of the Pilates method while incorporating high energy cardio. The jumpboard is a padded plate that gives you the aerobic benefits of jumping while protecting your knees, back, and spine from the impact of landing on a solid surface. Bursts of cardio intervals as short as 10 minutes strengthen your heart and lungs while increasing your heart rate and burning calories. This class incorporates cardio-intense and core-intense intervals to zero in on the toughest spots and produce lasting results. 4. Infrared Sauna Movement isn’t the only way to sweat out the stuffing. Sitting in an infrared sauna elevates your heart rate, increases your body temperature, and activates your nervous, circulatory, lymphatic, immune and digestive systems. There are numerous health benefits tied to using a sauna, including a reduction in bodily stress and inflammation and a boost in circulation and toxin removal. A session in our Clearlight Infrared Sauna is a surefire way to get that post-workout feel-good feeling, without even having to work out! Don’t forget to hydrate! After you sweat out your holiday meals, be sure to replenish the minerals that help keep you healthy and hydrated. Electrolytes restore minerals lost through sweat and assist in preventing fatigue, repairing muscles, and rehydrating the body. Make your own electrolyte drink with our super-nutrient tonic. Bottom line: there is no reason to feel guilty for indulging on meals you love with the people you adore. Fill yourself up with not only food, but laughter, lighthearted joy and love, and resume your regular schedule feeling abundant with all good things. We can’t wait to hear about each of your holiday weekends as we enter the new week.
